Hi Missyb
I'm one of those very slow movers. I bought SBI nearly a year ago but due to life's issues I had to put my building on hold until the last couple of months. My site is not live yet but will hopefully be by the end of this month.
I tried to create 3 different sites on affiliate/making money without sbi and it wasn't the building that got me tripped up, it was understanding why I couldn't get traffic. SBI has been AWESOME about educating me on why so many sites fail and how to brainstorm and decide on a topic that sets me up for a lot of free targeted traffic from sites like Google, Yahoo, MSN.
Let me tell you... if you don't have traffic out here, you're doomed. And a cheap host is not going to teach you how. Probably the most valuable part of the purchase for me has been the sbi community forums. Once you buy you have access to the forums where you can ask questions and chat with other customers. So you're not alone. I ask those people EVERYTHING but I'm glad I make use of that resource because it's so helpful. Many people that post in the forums already have 4, 5 and even 6 successful SBI! sites and they are eager to help newbies like us.
I am just getting started and don't have the great success that Lisa has with her sbi site, but I at least understand so much more than I did when I was on my own and I took the time to really follow the SBI guide.
That's key too! Don't buy it and rush through the tutorials and guides. They're there for a reason so you must follow them. Ken is notorious for being a little uhhhh..... wordy

so be prepared to do a lot of printing and reading. But it's worth it!
Wish I had more concrete success to show you but give me about 6 months or so and I'm confident I will now that I have the time to work on my site.
