Thread: How to build a membership site on SBI?

I'm about to build another site, this one for my Architectural business.

I would like clients to be able to login to a section where they can upload sketches or photos and once I have completed the drawings they can view the plans. I would like to be able to provide my clients with individual login and password details so they can only view their own projects.

I hope this can be done with SBI, I just purchased the site! Any idea where to start? Reading Information, Software that maybe needed etc

If you have registered your domain name you will have access to Site Central. Take a look in the additional resources section they have information on 3rd party membership sites that you can plug into SBI.

You will need to purchase access to some additional tools to do what you would like in a secure environment.

I somehow missed this thread. No, you cannot do this easily with SBI!. You may have to use another host. I've never done anything like this with SBI!. Sorry for the delayed reply. This one slipped by me.

I have also heard this isn't possible with SBI. Even for a experienced coder it would be a challenge making this sort of website.

There may be software/scripts you can use to make this sort of website but even then I don't think it's possible with SBI.

Does that software come free with SBI or will you have to pay again?

It is a separate piece of software, that has a separate fee independent of your SBI purchase.

SBI's policy is to forego affiliate commissions, so it is cheaper to purchase it through SBI than separately.

SBI is usually not a good solution for visual art sites because sbi has size limitations on image files which is pretty small, so you wont be able to show those drawings very large

You can also consider the Infinit! tool if you need larger file capacities.

The nice thing about SBI is it is extendable if you need it.
