Default Multiple questions about SBI

I recently have been surfing around the net and clicking links here and there largely on the topic on how to achieve multiple streams of passive income, and it brought me to a site called pluginforprofit site or something like that.

Needless to say, it was completely overwhelming for a newbie like me when the site claims that you can earn a whole of money just by paying for the hosting+domain name, and by just signing up for the affiliates on that page. being curious, my mind was itching to give it a try, but I decided against it before researching more on it as we all know there is no free lunch in this world. so it dawned upon me after some searching that that system was based on MLM which is a very flawed system, and I realized that I wouldn't have any fun promoting something like that.

That was when I came across about SBI, and the price per month is also similar to the pluginprofitsite(29$/month), and that I could create something which I enjoyed doing and also at least learn something in the process. so, now I have a lot of boiling questions which I can't find the answer to, which I hope you guys do

1) If I plan on creating a website based solely on a game(warcraft 3 has custom maps made by players using their world editor, its gonna be based on the custom maps instead of the real thing), is it still advisable to get SBI, or should I just go for a normal host instead?

2) the webhosting for SBI is only for the one SBI domain itself? For eg if you have another domain on godaddy can you use the SBI webhost to host on the godaddy domain?

3) if i want to create another website with another diff domain i would need to purchase another SBI package which means another 299$/year?

thanks

I don't know what the custom maps entails for the warcraft game. How will these maps be created? Are you going to create graphical forms of these maps?

You cannot use SBI! and GoDaddy at the same time. You need to either choose one or the other.

It's $299 per domain/site.

warcraft 3 itself consists of a world map editor where anybody can use it to design and create any kind of map they want apart from the usual building skirmish type - be it tower defense, fights between just a few units, etc . for example dota (www.getdota.com) is a famous custom map played by a lot of people around the world currently.

what i plan to do on that website is just upload a few of those maps, give some reviews and maybe some walkthrough and tips on certain maps..thats all. over time , more maps/walkthroughs can be added etc

another thing i would like to ask about sbi is that: if i have gotten the website up and running, but after a year, i decided not to continue to renew (maybe due to lack of funds or other reasons), will the site be taken down completely also?

I guess the question I'm asking is what file format are these maps in? Flash? Zip file? I wasn't able to tell by looking at that sample site. I just want to make sure you can technically do all this with SBI!.

it's in .w3g format - stands for warcraft 3 recorded game file, and can only be opened using wc3 itself

http://filext.com/file-extension/W3G

but i can always still zip them if needed.. doesnt hurt

anyway, im sure that you can do all these technically with SBI, I just wanted to know whether it would be better instead to just go for a normal host (5$ + - a month) instead of 29$ a month..

Yes, see that's the issue. I don't think you can upload that kind of file with SBI! so it may be best to use a regular host.

normal host just means use hosts like hostgator etc?

i just thought sbi might help a bit for a complete beginner like me since html and such arent required that much..as it wont be purely map hosting, some reviews, tips and walkthroughs following each map

but i guess sticking to a normal host would be a better option for now

Basically what I'm saying is the topic is unlikely to produce anything financially and it may not be focused enough, its not very good affiliate or advertisement wise, to put it blunt

Not to say you cannot make a good website, if its just something of a hobby to you, warcraft editing, then its best just to cheap host and learn anything you need on the web

If you want to enter affiliate marketing and advertising then I would suggest SBI if you were serious about it but you would need to change the topic to something internet users need and you find fun to talk about, its all explained in the action guide which is readily available for FREE from their website
