Default eBook with SBI?

I am working on my first eBook, which I have composed using notepad.

What next, to get in on my site? I don't see anything in blockbuilder to help me out here, but I could be missing something.

I've been working on this for a few days, and my brain is fried....lol.

Thanks,

Janna

Hi Janna,

Do you have the software to convert the notepad file into a PDF or some kind of electronic format? For example I have Adobe Professional for my ebooks. There are other less expensive tools out there to convert to a PDF, I believe. I'm not sure about converting from Notepad though. I normally use Word becasue the PDF keeps the same format.

Once you have the book in PDF format you can use the "Special File Manager" in Site Central to upload it and it will put your book in a folder called "support-files". So the link to your book would be yourdomain.com/special-files/yourbook.pdf

There is a free way to convert a text file to pdf form. Just download open office i think the newest version is like 3.1 and either open your text file in the word processor or just copy and paste it into it. But when your ready, "after spell checking" lol, just click file, and then export to pdf.

I put it in Notepad instead of word because "I think" I read somewhere that that is the format SBI prefers. However I understand that using the PDF format, that probably doesn't matter. I can easily cut and paste it to WORD and make it a PDF.

What I wasn't sure about was where to add it in SBI. Thanks for the info!

I am creating the eBook to hopefully generate some traffic. I am naming it a high value Keyword phrase from my MKL. Think it might help?

Default another reason

You also need to paste into Word or some program for formatting before saving to pdf. To look decent you need to add some graphics or at least headers and attractive lists, etc.

Thanks James, Yes, I am going to include headers, graphics, and lists. Since I'm not to that point yet, I am thinking I do that on sitebuilder?

Sorry I'm so challenged with all this, but I'm determined to figure it all out, with of course, the wonderful forum help!
