Default SBI capability...

I am thinking about cancelling my website tonight with godaddy.com. After speaking with a rep today, it does not sound like website tonight is all that great. I know 300 bucks for three years isnt bad, but you get what you pay for! I rather spend more and have a peace of mind that the product I am using is good. I am totally new to building websites and I want to take my time and build a nice one.

So, back to SBI . Here are a few questions:

1. Can I type my info in Microsoft work then copy and past it in the text section of SBI to upload for my website?

2. In the future, I would like to add a forum to my website. Can SBI handle this? If not, are there any suggestions where I can use SBI and attach a forum?

3. With some of my topics, I would like to add pictures. Can SBI do this and howmuch of a hassle is it?

4. With my website, I bought every variation..ie .biz, .mobi etc. With SBI, is there a way to tie all these domains to my .com domain name.

I really appreciate everyone's patience with my questions. I eagerly await your guidance and advice.

Thanks,

Flavel

Hi Flavel,

1. Yes. You can write your copy in Word and then paste it into the SBI! editor to build your site.

2. Their functionality does not support a forum at this time so you'd have to build it on a separate platform and link it to your SBI! site. For example you could go to www.ezboard.com and get a free board and then link it to your site.

3. Adding pictures is a matter of following the instructions. You simply go to the Image Library, upload your pictures to the SBI site builder and then they show you how to add them to your site.

4. Yes, what you would do is purchase the other domain names with the additional extensions (.net, .org, etc.) SBI! has a service called Name Park It! where you can buy additional domain names for $9.95 and then redirect them to your main site.

Quick questions...

I am waiting on my refund from godaddy. I have my domain names at godaddy but want to transfer them to SBI. What do I need to do? Is there any extra cost? How long would it take?

That's something the support team at SBI! will have to answer. I personally have not transferred anything to them but I know there is a set process.

You can email support and tell them that you are planning to move your site over to them. Go to http://support.sitesell.com
