Is SBI the real deal?
Is SBI the real deal? I have been interested in reading your comments and have watched the introduction video and reviewed the site etc. I am quiet excited about building my own website, however, it sounds to good to be true. Has anyone had any bad experiences with this product? There must be someone who has found at least one element of it difficult.

The real deal
Like starting any business, you will have rough spots. I have been building my new site for a month or so now and have found SBI perfect. The program is easy to understand and as I build pages and follow the step by step action guide, my early traffic is building.
I have had nothing but a good experience so far but it is a lot of reading and a lot of work.
The writing becomes easier as you go and as long as you follow the program, it really seems to work!
In less then 3 weeks of being "live" I have had 380 site visits and 212 unique visitors.

Hi John
Just like anything out here, you are going to find people who fail and people who succeed. SBI! is no different. You just have to go into with the right expectations and attitude.
1) Be prepared to do a lot of reading/learning in the beginning
2) Success is not instant for most people but definitely possible if you work hard and follow the guide you will be given
Overall, I think SBI! is a great system but success is definitely not guaranteed. How well you do with the product, largely depends on you. SBI! will provide the tools but you have to bring your own creativity and hard work to the table to complete the process.

I plan to use SBI and I would sign up for it but for now I started to get some Search Engine Rankings for my blogs so I thought of sticking to it. I will use it when I get time.

I have just finished day 5 of the action guide and so far I am impressed. Here is the thing, you need time and dedication, if you aren't willing to dedicate many hours or you simply don't have the time, then save your money.
However, the amount of information that I have learned over the past week is amazing. If you want to do it right, then it is the way to go. You get the education and the website in one package. Also, don't forget about the tools provided to you. With other web hosting, you only get the website. To me 300 dollars is a low price to receive an education that could earn you 2,000 dollars a month with just one website. Now multiple that by several websites over the course of several years and that 300 dollars doesn't seem so bad.
I know I paid 30,000 for my 4 year degree and am happy that I did, but the ROI is still lower than the potential ROI I could receive on only 300 dollars.
Look at it that you are receiving an education and in the long run it could result in you making money. Plus, you don't have to sit in class and you get to move at your own pace.

Very well said. A common response/criticism I hear about SBI! is "Why would you buy SBI!" when you can go to GoDaddy?" Todd22's comment here is a great explanation. Nothing against GoDaddy because we all know you can succeed without SBI!, but SBI! has probably one of the best (if not THE best) education system out there.

Some very interesting points thank you. I have the time and the incliniation just want to make sure that what I buy does what is states. I have been burnt before and cannot afford to be burnt again. For those that have used SBI, how long did it take you to build and implement your site? Once again thank you for your comments it is greatly appricated.

Hi John
I personally don't use SBI but having been around this forum for a while I can see some of the benefits.
Most (if not all) of the tools and advice available in SBI are also freely available elsewhere on the internet but SBI has it all bundled into one package.
SBI is no guarantee of success but from a cynical point of view you are more likely to put the work into it if you have invested the money into SBI rather than just bought a domain for $10 and put it onto cheap hosting.
If you are new to website building you will find there is a lot to learn, researching a niche, learning html, css, seo, how to monetize your site etc.
As I said this advice is freely available on the net, any questions you have whichever route you take will usually be answered on this forum. But with SBI all the resources are available in one place.
As we say in Uk it does what it says on the tin.
Regards
Bob

Bob,
thanks for your advice, very much appreciated. I think I may go for it. Going to do a little bit more research and then I think I will make my decision next week. Once again thanks for advice.

john - sbi was the best investment i've ever made. i knew nothing about site building so i needed something that would "hold my hand" sort of speak.
if i had gone another route to create my website, i would have thrown in the towel a long time ago because i simply dont have the time, inclination or patience to scour the web for all the info and resources i would need to create a successful site.
they also teach you very important things i dind't know even existed, so how could i have researched THOSE things if i didn't even know they existed?!
i've had my current site for a little over 2 years, so obvioulsy am not the newbie that i was when i started. i don't need nearly as much hand holding, but when i'm ready for my 2nd site, i will have that site through sbi as well
sbi is the perfect solution for just about anyone.

SBI! affiliates like myself get a lot of heat online for promoting SBI!, and one point that I'm always trying to make is the individual VALUE. Some people value different things. Can you get a lot of these tools SBI! offers for free on the net? Of COURSE you can. But Liz's response is common among happy SBIers because some people need the additional "hand holding" (as Liz stated).
Sorry, I'm just rambling here but reading Liz's response took me back to some comments I've read about SBI! being a rip off because of the price. It's not for everyone, but if you value the advice, tutorials and having all the tools in one place, it's a great buy.

i too have seen those negative comments and those folks aren't looking at the big picture, and certainly aren't comparing apples to apples. even someone who doesn't necessarily need the hand holding might find value in SBI! for the forum (and tools!) alone!

I preface my answer by stating that I was unemployed when I started with SBI and that I worked on it probably 6 days a week, 6 hours a day....
My husband bought SBI on May 11, 2008 and I put up the first page on June 10th... It now has 191 pages, averaging 200 visitors a day.
For the last 4 months, I work on my site about 2-3 hours a day; splitting my time between content and traffic building.
