Default Can one change the domain on a SBI site?

Hi all and thanks in advance.

If someone owns a SBI site, lets say zyz.com and it is not going well, can the owner change it to abc123.com and go in another direction?

I am not an SBIer yet and don't know the ropes.

Regards,
Rick

There was a lady that used to post here and she told me that you actually can. I think you have one chance to change it free of charge. But please make sure you check with their support to double check. I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, I asked support once and they said you can change the domain name one time only for the life of the site. I am not sure whether or not they do it for free. I thought it was free, but I heard someone else say that it costs $50 to change the domain name.

I just want to add that you should really be careful when deciding to change your domain. You said "if it's not going well". If you are not getting any traffic, chances are, it is not because of your domain name. Content and marketing is most likely the problem. That includes choosing a niche that is overly saturated as well as choosing key words that have low SE demand.

Unless you just don't like it, I would keep it. Besides, it takes time for you site to really get rolling.

If you don't like it for print purposes, then just buy a second domain and have it point to your site.

But you didn't ask for all of this information did you I guess I'm a little talkative tonight.

That's very good advice, alpha7.

Thanks for the quick replies. I do understand the value proposition of SBI! and the need to follow the process, so worrying about domain names is a bit premature.

Im a SBI! newbie here, and not 2 days after registering my domain name, I wanted to change it. It is not free, and it is indeed $50 even if its your firt time.

Note that SBI! does not profit from this fee.

And yes Alpha7, great advice. Btw, I voted for your web design and really think you should stick with it! And No, I dont think your evil
