Default Making $ in SBI!

Hi, I am interested in buying SBI, but I have a question before making my decision. I am not a resident or a citizen of the U.S. I want to make a commercial website that can attract people worldwide, but I'm not sure about how to get them to pay for my site (esp. if the only bank account I can use is VISA). Could you tell me how the e-commerce works in SBI?

Hi Yohana,

Regardless if you use SBI! or a regular web host, accepting payments is a separate issue. Have you heard of PayPal.com? They can accept payments for you no matter what part of the world you live in. You setup an account with them, place the necessary code on your site (SBI!, or whatever host you use) and people will pay you through PayPal and then PayPal sends you the funds in your currency.

There is a small fee per transaction but well worth it if you need to accept payments from your site.

Ok.. so do you think it'd be better to buy SBI! (esp. for beginners) or better if i just make a commerical website myself? Are there alot of components in a website u have to put together? Is SBI! really worth it, and are there alot of important benefits - benefits that other sites wont have- to it? I want to think thru this before making a decision, and i need your advice!

Here's why I believe SBI! is great for beginners. They really drill in the importance of learning how to plan your site so you create a website that draws in targeted traffic. Many beginners rush into creating a site without understanding how to optimize their web pages so they rank high in Google. SBI! walks you through step by step from beginning to end.

They provide a website building tool for beginners that you can use to build your pages. All you do is pick a design and plug in your text. Your site can be up in a few hours.

The difference in SBI! versus any other ecommerce solution is that they provide the education you need to succeed. You can't just put up an ecommerce site and expect people to just find you. That's not how it works. SBI! helps people find you and teaches you how to write so you convert those visitors into sales.

So many people sign up with Yahoo Store or some other store provider and realize they have no idea how to bring traffic to their store. Suddenly they've wasted their time and money and realize they can't get any sales.

They also have a built-in application called Store Build It! that you can use if you plan on selling products. I've never used it but there's a site you can check out called jugglenow.com. They use Site Build It! and the Store Build It! add-on.

Here's a page that lists all the tools and services you get for SBI!.

Hmm.. okay. Well, I'm not exactly planning to sell hard goods online, but I'm thinking of making a paid membership website. Is it possible to make a membership website through SBI! ? And if so, would it be cheaper & better than other websites?

If you're doing a paid membership site, it's better to use a host outside of SBI!. They do not support sites with that kind of structure.
