Hi,
I am very much new to all of this and have spent a fair few weeks now looking at all aspects of creating a website/internet marketing/SEO etc.
All terms that I now know a lot more about now than at the start! However, I am fully aware that I haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg yet with what I have yet to learn if this is what I really want to do.
If I do decide to go ahead with my website idea I will definitely use SBI!
I am feeling a bit over-whelmed and daunted atm though.
Are they very clear in their manual about what all the different terms mean and how to execute them? Does it go into marketing strategies etc and what all the different traffic generation terms mean and how and why they are carried out. If not could someone recommend a good, basic book.
Lisa's websites and this forum are fantastic but I think I need to go right back to basics so I know exactly where I'm at.
My question is:
Does it really all become clearer?
I'm reading all these terms that all you experienced people are using and wonder if I will ever be able to fathom it all out. It all sounds highly complicated and technical - mailfeeds, css etc.
I tried a quick htlml exercise yesterday and nearly keeled over with the shock to the system - everyone says it's easy!
Should one really have to be 'business-brain' orientated?
I'm asking this because I am a Nurse/massage therapist by trade and have never been very savvy when it comes to business. (On the other hand I have a sister who is a business whizzkid but couldn't do my job.)
I've noticed when you talk about marketing for example you mention looking at what is working etc and adjusting by doing this analysis and that tweak.
If I don't have a business brain then am I wasting my time?
I'm really enjoying learning about it all though and I am looking at it as just another challenge and another facet in the rich tapestry of life... I just don't UNDERSTAND IT ALL. I am a very analytical person and until I understand it - it will torment me!!!
Any comments would be most appreciated.
Thanks
