Question Content for a New Site

Hi Everyone,

I am interested in creating a website(a new experience), but unsure about the quantity of content/articles I need before the site is launched. Do you write the articles as you go, slowly building up your SBI website? Or, should you have a lot of information posted from the start?

Thanks,
to28

I built mine up slowly as I went along. I didn't have anything pre-written when I started... only ideas and perhaps an outline.

Default There are no rules.

One of the best things about the internet is the freedom you have to follow your own path.

My opinion is that if something makes sense to me it will make sense to a lot of others and be just as senseless to others. If you follow your own judgment in these general matters you will do better than most.

The only areas where you need to follow specific advice is in technical matters, for example learning coding from good sources like w3schools.com and getting good advice from folks like Lisa to focus on content and marketing rather than getting sidetracked on minor matters if you want to prosper financially.

I know what I did with mine was I made sure that I had enough articles to fill out the front main page and ensure I had a few of the various categories showing and then launched it. I'm usually on everyday adding an article or two. I've been up less than 2 weeks and have 19 so far. So that an average of a little over 1 post a day. Which is good enough for me considering in a year ill have over 365.

True indeed and another for the link and Lisa.

No rules... Yes, the Internet is so vast - it is limitless - it'll never run dry for those wanting to make money. I'm trying to learn as much as I can so that I may walk my path.

If you had chosen a Niche that you like, treat your website as a hobby, you don't really need 20 articles to get out there, just move at your own pace and do what you like, and don't worry about getting indexed and making revenue that will come with time, and good luck

Cheers, amr

What I did before I started, was determine what I wanted the home page to say and developed a rough outline of my first 5 pages. I had a fear that after I posted my homepage, people would visit and be discouraged because there was only one page! Looking back now, I can see that that should not have been a concern at all!

Once of the most important pieces of advice I received from the SBI forums, was to "keep your head down and just keep building content... build it and they will come!"

The most important thing is to start somewhere and build from there!

Good luck!
