I have noticed that SBI allows ....
Hi,
I have noticed on the video action that SBI allows you to install
a wordpress blog on your site too. And they also allow you to add
the forum software phpbb. Do they also allow us to add Vbulletin
forum software since this one is way better and has vbseo as a seo
backup?
Who knows if this is possible?

I think there is some confusion on this due to the way it's worded on their site. It is my understanding that you cannot physically install any kind of forum or blog on your actual SBI! domain. You must install it on another hosting platform and then use SBI!'s InfinIt! service to update your CNAME (in your domain name records) to redirect your forum to your SBI! site.
So from a visitor's perspective it looks like the forum, blog, etc. is still hosted on your SBI! domain name, but it's not. You still need to host it on a regular linux/windows web host.
Now, maybe things have changed since this was last explained to me but I believe that is how it works. Someone please feel free to correct me if I have this wrong.

I would use a regular linux hosting plan like offered at godaddy, hostgator, etc. For this forum, I'm using my own reseller hosting plan at websitepalace.com

Ok this may sound dumb since you just explained it above My question is this. I have started a blog (not live yet) and I bought the domain name and have the hosting. This blog will go with the site I want to have on SBI. Once I set up my SBI site, I can then have a link to my blog on the page? When the visitor clicks on the blog link will they still be connected to my SBI site? Or will it be easy for them to get back to it? I would like to make it as easy as possible for the viewer. I would hate to lose them from the SBI site if they go to read the blog? Does that make sense?

your blog
use the _blank attribute in your code
this will make your blog open in a new window while keeping your site opened

Jewels,
Yes, the way I understand it is you can use SBI!'s Infinit feature to redirect your blog to your SBI! domain. So when someone types in yourdomain.com/blog then the browser will show that the blog is hosted on your domain. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. I've never used the Infinit feature.

I think you can use a blog as there is a button in site central called RSS/Blog it.
Until now I believed a blog and RSS is possible as I have read that your last page will automatically be the first article lsited in the blog. I haven't used it yet
I am not that far...

Yes SBI! does have a Blog function but it doesn't function like a normal Blogger or WordPress blog. I don't like it and don't use it. I assumed Jewel was asking about adding either a Blogger or WordPress blog to her SBI! site.
Please let me know if I've answered correctly.

yes, you are right Lisa. It is not like a real blog when you use RSS/BlogIt.
It is more based on RSS.
