supply versus demand versus ACTUAL numbers

ya know how if you are on google, and you start to type search words, it will bring up words at the bottom that it thinks you are typing?
and next to the words it has the "supply" numbers?
well, i searched for one of my keywords, a KW that my MKL says only has ONE supply, and google said there are 416,000 results.
how is this possible if the MKL only has a supply of 1? I bet this is the case for a lot of keywords.... has anyone else encountered this or have an explanation for this??

I have noticed some difference in the numbers before, but not THAT different. I wonder if it's a glitch.

well i did the same think for some more keywords, and they are all WAY off.
One keyword in MKL has a supply of 57, but according to google has 154,000.
Another KW with TWO supply, has 682,000 google results.
This is disturbing, because of course I'm creating content and new pages based on the results in the MKL...
