Is Value Exchange Valuable?

Hello everyone!

Not sure how valuable the Value Exchange process is on SBI. I have emailed three website owners and haven't received anything back in return.

Does it take a month before I can get a new list of potential websites that I may be able to share links with? I wasn't really excited about the rest of the list that SBI provided so I did not email those owners.

I am trying to think of new creative ways to email website owners to share links, but the ones I have emailed do not respond back.

I am thinking that it is because I am still a baby since starting back in May, but I am ready to get the ball rolling man!! Come on!!! lol

Any advice would be welcome!

I had that same problem. A lot of people on the list may not even be updating their sites anymore so that's why they haven't responded. Or some people are no longer accepting links and they fail to respond.

But I did get 4-5 partnerships from within my first year. Two of them I discontinued because they weren't bringing me much traffic but the rest are doing quite well.

Just keep in mind that regular link exchanges aren't nearly as effective as they once were so don't feel you have to get 10 exchanges. If you can find one or two relevant sites to give you a CONTEXTUAL link to your site then that may help. But I do understand it's frustrating because some people may not respond.

The 4-5 partnerships that you received in the first year, were they from value exchange or did you personally email website owners asking for the link exchange with relevant material?

Hi Rod,

I didn't have any luck with SBI's Value Exchange either. You will do better submitting articles, get listed in directories, Yahoo Answers ect: these should generate quite a few links for you.

Have you read Make Your Links Work from SBI? Well worth the read.

I was talking about the ones I got from Value Exchange. I didn't use VE again though after the first year.

Greg has a good point about Make Your Links Work. It's been a while since I read that but the good thing is, the points made in that book are still relevant today.

The name of the site is LinkMetro.com. You can do link exchanges as well as Article Exchanges. I haven't tried the Article Exchanges yet.
