Default How long did it take to get first SBI sale?

Hey guys,

Just curious to know how long it took you to get first SBI sale.
I have lots of clickthroughs, but not even one sale yet.

I'm really looking forward to my first sale and am working hard to presell SBI properly.

Thanks

I got my first sale the day after I added my affiliate links to my page. I was blown away to get a sale that fast. My next sale didn't come until months after that. I also get a lot of clicks, but only 2 sales so far.

Funny you mentioned this 'cause I just commented on this in your Review thread. One thing you don't do is show your SBI! sites and you say you own more than one. Showing proof that it has worked for you is key and I think the reason West and myself have been selling is we clearly show we are customers. Getting someone to fork over $300 for a web site is tough so you need mounds of credibility. Your About Me page is pretty good. It's not overly sales pitchy but if I'm a visitor and read that page, it does make me wonder if you really own it. Lots of general statements about how good SBI! is but no proof it works for you.

Back to your original question. It took me several months to get my first sale. I started out selling the ebooks and those led to a few sales. But when I bought SBI! and displayed my story is when sales went through the roof.

I know from talking to Ken that almost all the top SBI! affiliates own SBI!. Many of them do case studies to their readers about their own sites. Which makes sense because it helps build credibility when you can specifically say "Here's my story."

Very interesting Lisa. The problem is that I don't have an SBI site myself. So the proof will be if it works for me.

Wow, months to get a sale is a long time. I am only really promoting SBI heavily since this week. Will try to improvise and do some further research about product.

I will definitely have to get SBI sometime down the line, but for now I will try to make some sales without owning it.

Keep in mind, this was before 2createawebsite.com and my marketing site only got about 100 visits per day. So that's what makes it hard.

When 2create got popular the sales came in more rapidly.

That makes sense, I must work on my traffic to get a better conversion rate.

Thanks

Default Just my 2 cents...

Lajocar,

I think Lisa has a good point about those who own SBI! are successful affiliates. I bought my SBI! site from Lisa's referral because I'd read her experience and how it worked for her. $300 is a lot of money and I can't say that I would spend that kind of money without hearing how it worked for the affiliate.

Perhaps you'll be very successful in the near future, but it is something to consider if your sales don't pick up.

Good luck to you!

Thanks NewMama, I will check ot without buying product for a couple of months or so and see what happens.

If I get no sale(s) then I will buy the product to try myself

Default Oh, one more thing

Lajocar,

I should also tell you that I first read Lisa's website, then thought about SBI! for 6 months before I went back to her site and bought it from her link.

I knew I had to be ready and have the time to dedicate to such an undertaking so I think that for a lot of people it's a long thought process before they buy.
