Default Not sure if Site Build It is right for my concept

I was wondering if someone can help me out with a question about Site Build It. I have a decent understanding of the concept and application of the system but I'm not sure if the system fits what I am trying to do.

I am a service provider but I am only professionally licensed in one State. My industry is built around trust and I really think Site Build It can differentiate myself from my competition. I already provide my client database a monthly e-newsletter so I already have plenty of content prewritten.

My main goal is to increase my book of business. I will monetize the site but I will make my real money through increased client base. Is it possible to use Site Build It to generate decent traffic in a small geographic area (one state)? My niche will certainley work on a National level but that will be down the road.

Any input or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Bob

Hi Bob

Yes, SBI! works for local businesses too. There is a local dentist that uses SBI! to increase his clientele. See his story here...

Thank you for your quick reply Lisa!

I checked out the dentist's website. My concept is a little different. My goal is to provide in depth and informative content in relation to my industry with the goal of earning peoples trust (and business). I do not envision the local site as being a business site but rather a resource type site. The content can help anyone across the country but I can only provide service in one state. My ultimate goal is to run 2 very similiar websites. A national site to strictly monetize and a local site to drive business into my pipeline. I will probably be purchasing 2 SBI's this week. Does SBI provide good training and tools to maximize on both scenarios? If I can gain just one extra client per year in my local area, I will have tripled my investment. This seems like a realistic goal.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Here's a link to new page SiteSell developed that should answer most of your questions. http://tools.sitesell.com/ (This is not an affiliate link)

I would definitely recommend SiteSell for your local site as it will enable you to stand out above your local competitors. You may be able to combine both the local and national sites into one website following SBI's guidelines.

Good luck on your new venture,

Oh I see, so you would still want to be found in more broad keyword searches in Google but I'm assuming you'd also have some content talking about your local business so you can capitalize on that market too. I still think it would work.

So in other words your site would be similar to someone providing general lawn care tips that everyone can use but also promoting his or her local lawn care business in addition to the content. (Just an example.)

The training SBI! provides is awesome but you have to be prepared to read everything and also think outside the box and use your own creativity. Using SBI! doesn't guarantee success but it does guarantee you'll get everything you need to succeed.

When I think of the people who have done well with SBI!, they didn't take any shortcuts, they read the entire Action Guide, keep up with Ken's newsletters and advice and understand this is an ongoing business. It's not just about throwing up content and the money will come in. So as long as you understand that and have realistic expectations, you'll be fine.

Hi,

I'm afraid I'm not an expert at this, just an SBI user - however, I think I'm doing what you want to, Bob. My SBI website is about teaching English as a second language, and has grammar exercises etc that can be used from anywhere, but I also put the website in local adverts on and offline (and will soon have a 'tuition' page, so people searching for English lessons in my area will hopefully find me) to get private students in my city. I think the two can easily be combined with an SBI site, and I get a lot more local students now I have the website, as peole can get more information about me before they book lessons.

Good luck!

I've decided to take the chance and give it a go. Nothing risked, nothing gained.... My wife and I are going to pick up the mothers day special and start building together.

My goal for my first site is very realistic. One extra client in the first 12 months and it has paid for itself 3 times over. The learning experience is probably worth the price of admission anyway.
