SBI site for established buisness

My Wife and I own a RV Park, I am looking to set up a web site for the buisness. So the question. I like the idea of the SBI site build it. I know nothing when it comes to building a site and i also like the idea of the education that comes with this program. has anyone set up a SBI Site for an existing buisness? and would you recomend it?

I for sure will set up an online buisness for another idea i have and will use it as an additional income. Our park is open six months and we travel six months a year. So we are looking at doing something for full time RVers. Maybe we can pay for our travel.

Hi there Fulltimer,

I don't see why SBI! wouldn't be a good fit for your existing business? What type of site did you have in mind...informational for RVers and monetizing through getting new clients at your park?

Have you brainstormed (checked Search Engines) what comes up when using keywords such as RV PARK?

SBI! is really a fantastic way to break into website building, though I may be being presumptuous in assuming you have never built a site before (sorry?!!).

Whatever you decide, this forum is a great source for tips, tricks and advice

Your assumtion is correct I have not built a site yet. since writing this I have read the first five chapters of Kens ten step program. His E book, and that appears to be the basis for building a SBI site. Is that a correct assumption?

If that is correct then it seems that Site Build it will work well. I am just like many others I have read here trying to convince myself to make the leap.

While there are a handful of people that have used SBI! for existing businesses I think most people here have used them for content-based affiliate websites. But regardless of your focus, I think SBI! is an excellent choice just because of the education and organization/planning alone.

I'm not sure which ebook you read (Ken has several) but you are correct. Make Your Content PRESell gives you a good example of how the SBI! process works.

I keep researching the SBI sites as that seems to make the most sense as Kerry said above for a novice to the this web site building. The more I look the more questions I have.

So to build a site about an existing RV Park I would have several pages discribing the park, amenities, rates Etcetra. Then pages seemingly unrelated of things to do in the area. Golfing, fishing, four wheeling, hiking, highlights of railroading in the Feather River Canyon, area events, such as craft fairs.

So how do you get this many subjects on one web site to work? When you search keywords can you search for each subject so that the particular interest a person has will bring them to your page or are you limited to the origional keywords that you found for your site. The web site needs a theme. Am i tied to much to the RV park, maybe the theme is Recreation. just thinking out loud.

Your thoughts please.

These are good questions Fulltimer. The best thing to do is keep your site as focused as possible. Of course you are free to focus on as many keywords as you want, but the idea is to keep them as related as possible to attract as much targeted traffic as possible.

Plus, when your site is focused around a specific niche, it's easier to rank higher for certain keywords than if you tried to cover too many topics. So instead of ranking well for a handful of keywords, you might end up ranking very poorly for a lot more. So it's much better to keep your niche as focused as possible and keep your audience in mind.
