Copyright/Card
Hi again, I am nearing the end of the SBI demo video and I am concerned on 2 matters, first of all being that if I am selling certain prints, can anybody that is looking at my site copy and download my prints to their site or is there a copyright clause? and secondly this is the first time I will be giving over my details of my bankers card, and I am slightly hesitant as you hear so many disastrous fraud hackers that are on the Internet.
Thank you for any help.

Hi Podlod
Anything that you produce on your site is automatically owned and copyrighted by you. Does that mean people won't try to steal your stuff? No, unfortunately it's the nature of the beast. There are some copyright services out there you can use to make your site look more official (c-site, etc.)
I know giving your banking info can be scary but I have been using my bank card online since 1995 and I've never had any issues. (knock on wood!) Just look for the padlock/security icon in your browser before giving any details.

Hi podlod,
If you created those prints, there is an inherent copyright for you. Others are not supposed to just copy and save your images to their hard-drives without your permission or without paying you for it.
But since copyright laws and rules haven't stopped many people from copying things over, you can always put a watermark or something like that in your image, so even if someone downloads your image, it won't be perfect and clearly displays a water mark.
I have never personally done that, so I did a Google search and came up with the following post, which seemed pretty helpful, so here goes: http://photoshop911.typepad.com/help...arking_ph.html
It requires that you have Photoshop, but if you don't, you can match some of the instructions with a different photo-editing software (e.g. I use GIMP http://www.gimp.org and it's free).
Regarding the bank account, I may have misunderstood your question, but don't give out your bank account/card information. Sign up for a PayPal account ( http://www.paypal.com). There are different types of accounts (personal, business, etc) so you can send and receive money.
I hope this helps.

Yes... isn't there a saying about great minds are on the same wavelength... or was it frequency... no no, it's "great minds think alike" I know you do have a great mind, but for me, it's just a coincidence, I just get it right by luck...

For what it's worth...(probably not much)
The original, "great minds run in the same channel" dates back to the 1500's.
Of course the "channel" then was one in a body of water, not on TV.
Lisa's hard to beat to the punch, even if she is one against a thousand or should we say one against seventeen hundred seventy three! More than once I have written a post and when it went up found she had slipped one in front of me. Obviously she doesn't have to spend as much time correcting grammar and spelling as I do.

Hi, thanks for your advice, Lisa and Morgan it was helpful and will carry on as you advised. There is 2 more questions I would like your advice on and hope you can answer them on this thread being item 1, I am in the next few days going to sign up with Site Build It, but I am apprehensive as I am not quite sure of various terminology used in the demo video even though I have read it? like E-ZINE and other small terms. Secondly I have had a family blog for personnel reasons, but if I have a blog on my new website can I diversify away from what I am selling and giving info about being photography & prints, or would you advise to stay with a blog concerning these 2 items in question?
Thanks for any advice given! by the way Morgan I love your avatar, so true to reality, ha ha. Bryan

Don't worry about the terms. One thing SBI! does very well is provide little question marks by almost every explanation and they explain every term you need to know along the way.
What you choose to blog about is up to you, but if you are going to use Site Build It!, they are going to suggest you keep your blog on topic with what your site will be about. No sense in building a site on fashion for example but then creating your blog on another subject. Site Build It!'s blog feature is tied in with your site so you really want to make the two match.
If you want to create a separate blog on photography you can always sign up with www.blogger.com or www.wordpress.com and do that completely separate from your Site Build It! site.
