I have been eyeing sbi for quite some time and I see they have a summer special going on I think I'll want to take advantage of so I think this is my sign that I should get it.

I also have a son who just graduated from high school. He loves the internet and is very good with computers (PC and MAC). I'm thinking of taking advantage of the summer special and using the extra site for him so we can both start our sites together.

I'm not sure what my site would be about but do you think a site on working computers would go over well for my son?

A lot of people take advantage of the SBI! $100 specials to either buy a second site for themselves or split the cost with someone else.

There are two successful computer-related SBI! sites that I know of. One is www.updatexp.com and the other is www.cheap-computers-guide.com. So if this is really your son's passion then he can certainly find success with this niche.

The bottom line is you can create a successful site on any niche as long as you have the passion and some creativity to make the site stand out. The problem people run into is when they choose topics because they see others succeeding with them. Then what happens is they lose interest and don't get beyond 3-4 pages because it's not something they really love. Or they end up copying what's already out there and it fails to draw any attention because it's just a copycat site.

But if computers is really his passion, I say go for it!

Excellent! Thanks for the info Lisa. I think that's what we're going to do - split the cost and pay $200 a piece. It will be good to learn how to use the product with someone else. Computers and I aren't too friendly. LOL My son will have to help me out I'm sure.

Bev2000, my nephew and sister just bought sbi during the special and split hte cost. It's a little out of my budget for now but I hope to explore it one day. Good luck!
