How Do I Add An Opt-In Form To Home Page
Hello everyone,
I'd like to include an offer to sign up for my newsletter. I created it through the MailOutManager, but I'm not sure how to get it to show up on my home page. I see that you can add it to other pages through the site builder, but how do you get it to show up on your home page.
Thanks for your help!
Melissa

I've never used MailOut Manager since I use AWeber with my SBI! site, but isn't there an option to add it to your homepage when you build it?
If not, I'm assuming you can just copy the same code that is generated on your sidebar.
I see Ken's daughter did it on her site http://www.anguilla-beaches.com/ Worst case is you can use her source code and swap out the links to your site. If you view the source code it starts with .

I think this is the only thing you can do because SBI! only allows you to add 1 block to the home page. Open a page on your site in your browser that has the form on it. Do a view source and find the code for your form. Then just paste that into your homepage.
This is something that really bugs me about SBI! sometimes. They really like for us to "keep it simple", especially on the home page. I understand why, but sometimes just a little more flexibility with the block-by-block builder would be nice.

sounds like a pain? we use soholaunchpro as our sitebuilder, and its one of the features that are included in the header, you just drag it and drop it where you want, and voila signup page is there, and then it integrates with the newsletter feature, nice and neat. No messing with code or the rest of it. I have it through my cpanel with the hosting package, but you can probably google it as soholaunch pro. It's $149 one time, that's it and has lots of other really cool features. Just takes the pain out of it altogether.

A widget / drag and drop environment that is used for blogs would be really nice for SBI! I wonder if anyone's suggested that in the Wish List forum.

Thank you!
Thank you everyone for your responses! Lisa, I want mine to look similar to the way yours looks for your weekly ab tip opt-in page. But West, you're right, they only give you a text block on the Home Page.
I will try copying and pasting the source code, I'm sure that will work...if I can figure it out! You've given great directions on how to do that.
Thanks again for your help!!!!

Hi Melissa
Well you won't be able to copy my code exactly because I use AWeber and that's a separate service from SBI! that I pay monthly for. So make sure you use Nori's code on her anguilla beaches page (or the code from your own form on your sidebar) as a template instead of mine.

Hi Melissa,
You can get your opt-in source code from Site Central. Click the "Upload Your Own HTML Page" button then you will see a button next to MailOut!'s Opt-in E-zine that says "Get Code" copy and paste the code wherever you like. Very easy to do.

Way to go Greg. I figured there had to be a better way but couldn't find one.

Thanks Again!
Thanks, Greg! Sometimes it's so overwhelming to find information in SBI! so I appreciate the help.
