Why SBI over the others?
I can see that belonging to an affiliate/web community can be a good thing. I belong to Wealthy Affiliate now. They seem mostly geared to setting me up to sell their products for my online business. That's ok, if that's what you want to do, but I would rather not specialize in "How to make money online" products. So, I will cancel my membership before the end of this month.
Will SBI have the same approach as wealthy affiliate? What do either of those places have that I can't find right here, or on Squidoo? I admit that the SBI site building part sounds pretty good, because building a quality website is no piece of cake for me.
Someone once told me that everything you need to know is here on the net, for free. You just have to ask the right questions to the right people. That's the trick to it. I would appreciate everyone's views on this.

I believe this is 100% true. If you have all the time required to do the research and the ability to sort out the junk and outdated information from the current facts you can find what ever you need.
SBI does all this for you under one roof, for less than a dollar a day!

The goal of Wealthy Affiliate is to help affiliates with internet marketing, regardless of which markets or niches they are in.
As Greg mentioned, SBI provides all the tutorials, instructions, and tools to help you create, develop, and market a content-based website.
I second what Greg said... while a lot of good information is available online, it would take a tremendous amount of time to find it on your own... and then, if you have no guide, how do you know when you have everything you need.
In addition, there is a lot of terrible information... and it would be impossible to try everything to figure out which information is good and which is bad.
The great deal about SBI is that it's the complete package!

Ok....
WA claims to do the same thing, for about the same price. I have a zillion downloaded e-books that tell me to "find a niche you enjoy"(or market OUR course) and then to write articles and then.......What is SBI going to do that is different?

Nice site
Greg...nice site. It looks professional, and gives good info quickly, without a lot of insulting fluff. I will keep reading. Thanks.

Are you looking for information on how to sell online or are you looking for products to sell.
Not to knock it but the sbi seems to be a site that may actually have some good content and services but may push you to push there product, not that affiliate marketing is a bad thing but if you are looking to sell somebody else's products cj.com is a much more flexible approach to that, allowing you to sell products and services from thousands of companies and it doesn't cost a penny to use. Google now offers a "referral" service which you can get paid for as well.
Please post a little more detail of what you are looking for...

SBI has worked great for me so far, although I am still in the beginning learning stages and my site has no depth to it yet. I have not yet begun to write my content.
However, prior to buying it, I had spent a year and a half researching knowledge, trying to learn the basics about navigating and ranking in the search engines and building websites. I am a complete novice and as Greg and Sherif said, weeding out all the junk and figuring out what was real and what was not was a tough process. I even bought lots of junk trying to learn which didn't really go anywhere for me, they mainly ended up trying to sell me more add-ons that I needed in order to continue.
SBI has been the only honest information I have found, that I am also able to understand, so it has worked for me. And what I don't understand I have been able to ask and get guidance (I have received a lot of that here as well). I now have a far greater understanding of what I am doing than I did two months ago and feel I will be successful in the long run.
And while becoming an affiliate is an option, I have not once felt that this is their ultimate goal and they push you to sell their product. My site is not related to the SBI product at all, other than to use it.
You may have more knowledge and experience than I do so you might be looking for something different, but as I said, after searching and searching, I really feel great about SBI.
