Default Should I Sign Up?

Hey Guys,

As many of you already know, I am a grad student at the Univ of Arizona. I am on different listservs, and guess what, I got an email message not too long ago, with the following link...

http://www.ceao.arizona.edu/pdf/comp...ne_PROF100.pdf

Does it sound familiar to anyone? Should I sign up for the class? Do you think it's legit?

LOL. Crazy, isn't it?

I am going to do a little investigation to see who initiated this... was it SiteSell or a 5-Pillar Affiliate. Lisa, are you aware of this?

Sherif,

It certainly seems like a very good idea. Is there a cost attached to this class? If not and your school is offering it freely, then I would jump all on this. I'm not sure if you're already with SBI, but if not, this can give you a BIG jump start if you're thinking about joining.

Also,

I'm not with SBI yet, but I've read some of their stuff and a lot of that content on that pdf is exactly how SBI puts it. So make sure you check it out to see if it's some type of attempt by someone to get sale referrals.

It is legit. I went to www.arizona.edu, then searched for "continuing education", and got http://www.ceao.arizona.edu, which is the home page for the school's continuing education program. The class listed there, under "Center for Computer and Professional Education". Looks like it's a one day seminar, probably given by an SBI owner and/or affiliate, and it's free! I would go.

Kevin and West, thanks for your responses. I just thought it was interesting to see this class (which is obviously modeled after the SBI system) to be taught through the University, because I would speculate that the course was initiated by an SBI owner/affiliate. Don't know, though.

If I have free time, I will check out the free seminar, just out of curiosity.

The purpose of the free seminar is obviously to pre-sell the course The 9-week course is $825, which I am not sure if it would include the $299 SBI fee.

I agree, Lisa, this is very cool... that's why I decided to start this thread here. Definitely a very creative/effective marketing approach if the instructor is an SBI affiliate.

I will let you know if I go or learn more info. Anyway, hope everyone is having a great day!

Yes, and it's actually a very clever idea if the person is in affiliate. Ken did a seminar like this about a year and a half ago in Chicago but it was conducted by himself and some other successful SBI! owners. I bet this person is modeling this after that seminar.

If the person is not an affiliate, I will give him my affiliate url to give to everyone in the class... lol.
