I just purchased SBI! (with Lisa as the affiliate) and I have a question about the MKL and developing my site concept.

I want to do a site on walking because I love to walk. However, the MKL tells me walking is too broad and the two best possibilities would be
Fitness walking 5766/4309/1388 (demand, supply, profitability)
Walking for weight loss 5217/2900/1914

I think fitness walking and walking for weight loss are related terms and it would be best to cover both in one website. So, would a good site concept be "walking for fitness and weight loss"? Or maybe just "fitness walking" since weight loss could be considered a part of fitness walking?

Thanks Melissa and welcome to the SBI! family. I would say focus on fitness walking as your main theme and remember you can always add sub-sections (or tier 2 and tier 3 pages) that focus on weight loss and still rank high for those keywords too.

Just like my site's main concept is flattening the stomach but I still get traffic from other keywords not specifically related to that because of my other content.

I like "fitness walking" because, as you mentioned, weight loss is just one benefit or one consequence of fitness walking.

If it's not too late, even though MKL tells you that "walking" is too broad, I would still go through the keywords, because maybe it will give you ideas or sub-niches you hadn't considered.
