Question If you could go back to when you started with SBI, what would make it easier?

Hello SBIers!

As per the title, if you could rewind back to when you started your SBI experience (yes, from 'Day 1'!), what would you find would make life easier for you?

Perhaps having the Action Guide written out as a book? Paying attention to keyword research? Or even elementary things like finding the time!

My first SBI! site failed. But I didn't ask for a refund. I just ate the $300 because I knew I didn't follow the action guide. When you already have a successful site, it's easy to skip over all the things you think you know and rush thru the process. Well that's what I did and the site didn't do anything. Two years later I tried again and this time I paid MUCH more attention to the keyword research. Even tho the numbers for my niche were a little "too saturated" according to SBI's recommendations I went with it anyway, hoping I could stand out with my own unique voice. Fortunately it worked.

I believe that what you do in those first to "days" (Day 1 and Day 2 of the action guide) are the most critical.

Really interesting Lisa! I guess coming from a successful website background that the training and tutorials must have seemed somewhat unnecessary. I wonder if most people are looking to SBI as a 'solution' - either because they're new online, or they're efforts so far have been unsuccessful?

I've seen both scenarios, but based on my experience most people buy because they are new. However there are a lot who have failed with other methods and are looking to start over with new advice.

Well I must say that the lessons learned that you Ed and Lisa have described here is what I have been practicing everyday since I've started the SBI program and working through the Action Guide. The assessment is reassuring.

completely agreed with you mrP, no need to rush, i took my time.one step at a time. I even remember when ed sent me the action guide before i even bought sbi. i can't count the number of times i went through it before and after i purchsed it. it's been a great experience so far.

also sbi also send me an email every week to tell if i have a broken link or not which is in my opinion very helpful. the site is not finished yet but with what i've got so far,i'm trying to start working on the traffic before maybe adding new content as the time goes by.

yackojo, I would suggest that if your site is just recently published online that you work on building traffic and content together, they go hand in hand. They compliment each other. So, manage your time to develop both. Even if you've got to take a brief break keep them both going, this is very important in the early stages.
