Dang it! Almost forgot to submit my entry..!.May be headed out of town this weekend, so thought I better get it done!! No pun intended, but I don't wish to become a lame duck....

Seeing some potential disqualifications already. If your design is in Flash make sure you've measured everything carefully since I cannot view your source. I will be using photoshop to judge height and width. Maybe my instructions were not clear but I'm a little disappointed in what I'm seeing thus far.

Please check your width and height of headers, navs, etc. or some of you are not going to be happy when the contest ends. Some designs are hard to tell where the header stops (makes it hard to measure size for Flash sites), horizontal navs are in the wrong place/wrong size. Wow... maybe this wasn't a good idea. LOL Well I can't say there weren't enough warnings in this thread.

Hi Lisa,

I want to suggest a Good measuring tool called Pixel Meter, or PMeter 1.3.
Its very easy to measure anything on your screen. Give it try.

Its freeware and can be downloaded from

I think it came out to a nice simple design, but it pales in comparison to the full design, shown here: http://www.mario-kart.net/lisa/layout.png

I didn't want to enter the full design because I'm unsure if it would violate the copyright rule for this contest, even though Nintendo allows users to have their images on fan sites. Besides, I'm not done coding the full design. This contest kicked me in the butt to get started!

Well, the deadline is here but unfortunately there were only 4 entries that qualified. I said I would extend the deadline if I did not receive a minimum of 5 entries, but I don't believe that's really fair to those who entered. That also gives people who have not entered an unfair advantage so the voting will begin with the four that qualified.

If your post is still here then your entry qualified, if it's not then it was disqualified for not following all the rules and requirements.

I will create a new thread in the Announcement forum so people can vote. The reason it will be placed there is because not all members can see this forum and I want to open the voting up to as many members as possible.

NOTE: I will be taking screenshots of all templates. Any changes made from this point on will result in a disqualification!

McKnight, I sent you an email regarding your template so please get back to me asap. Thanks!
