If you have no idea about the certain topic you want to feature in your website, the best thing you should do is to familiarize yourself with the topic by reading and research. Knowledge is the key for success. gain plenty of knowledge by reading and interacting to people that have the love for that particular topic. Patience is a virtue...

    Well Melissa,

You said that you are passionate about the niche you have chosen. That is going to be the fuel to keep you going even when you do not feel to do any research. I am very passionate about my field and have the knowledge but I can always learn something new everyday.

When creating a blog, you doesn't have to be expert in writing. Just tell a story, tell your story, tell your dreams, open your mind. Collect all the ideas and then arrange it and would be fine. In due time, you will be an expert. Nobody born already an expert, they have gone through that process.

I don't think you have to be an expert, and everyone is always learning. I've actually learned a bit since I started my site and its only been open a month. I suggest you keep learning while you write.

I'd say well enough to sit in front of your computer and write 400-500 words on a topic with the minimal amount of research. It has to be an area you know quite well. That way, the content will just come to you. If you have to spend hours researching something before writing, chances are you'll be repeating information that is already out there, which Google doesn't look favorably upon.

Of course certain amount of additional research will be needed, but the majority of the content should come from you and you alone.

I think it is a wonderful idea. I am all for recycling and caring for the environment. I am a big recycle person myself. I explain to my children all the time . .. I want to leave the earth good for them and their children and so on. We all have to care. We all share this beautiful earth. So go for it! I look forward to seeing your website in the future.

    Hello,
I would like to begin my post by saying that everybody is not a born expert, he/she has to pass through some hurdles to finally reach an expert level. So, never underestimate yourself.
Whatever you have researched just gather all the papers and then arrange them by date. Start reading the pages one by one you will automatically be able to write down the content in order and once you end up the page writing you will be able to figure out what topic you should choose for your writing. The important thing is that you start doing your work rather thinking more from where to start with.

I honestly think you should either know your topic very well or at least the basic facts. If you don't have an understanding of it, how can you build a organized site around it? It's always good to do your research, read up, and learn all that you can about your topic. The more you know about it, the easier it will be to build/write a site about it.

Your site concept is valid... Even if you do not feel you have the experience today, your searches on varies topics will reveal a lot that you relate to.
You will want to write articles.. get out the note pad and start listing what you want to write about.
Your keyword research will reveal more topics.
Longtail keyword research will reveal even more topics.....
And every article that you see when you are doing searches will contain ideas for more articles.

Your interests and desire to enlighten the world about your concerns will give you the drive to create interesting articles and draw people to your site
