Thread: Hostgator to blogger custom domain, what are the nameservers for blogger ?

Question Hostgator to blogger custom domain, what are the nameservers for blogger ?

I have recently purchased a domain from Hostgator. Only the domain. Now I want to use this a custom domain for one of my Blogger blog. For FYI I am new and novice at this but I am quick learner.

So for this purpose of uing the domain as custom domain for blogger; I contact we the Hostgator support and they told As I do not have any hosting plan, thus I do not have any cPanel to do it in that way. So it would only require to change the "nameservers" for using my purchased domain as a custom domain for blogger.

Now this is confusing me, Dont know what goes in " nameservers " [see the screen shot below.] In blogger the information are given for making changes in the cPlanel for CNAMEs. No nameservers given or I am not able to spot them.

Main question is what will be the nameservers for the blogger, where could I get it?
hope I make my case clear. looking forward for replies !! NEED HELP BADLY !!

    beingonforum,

Here is a link to the instructions from Google. https://support.google.com/blogger/t...d=1#ts=1734115

In this video she is talking about GoDaddy but I think just watching it will be helpful for you understanding the concepts which you can apply to HostGator

    Hope that helps.

Btw - there is no cPanel on Blogger so don't worry about it for now.
There's no way to do imitate any kid of HTACCESS functionality either. Blogger is really too limited for me now..

I know what you mean! It is a great way to get started and it is a great teacher... You mean find one day you are wanting to move to WordPress and therefore you will need to plan and execute a series of 301 redirects using HTACCESS as part of your new server configuration.
