    Default Another Week, Another Issue... Related Posts

    Hi, as the title states... another week, another issue!

    I noticed at the start of the week that under my blog posts where I usually have a single line of related posts from a plugin, I've for some reason gained another line from somewhere else. It's only appearing on new posts posted since the start of the week and after checking all of my plugins and settings I can't find where its coming from.

    Does anyone have an idea's? Or perhaps I could just delete it from the HTML website code in WordPress?

    You can see the issue at the bottom of this post here: http://www.onelifesuccess.net/jim-ro...-best-you-can/

    Thanks

    If you're talking about the long horizontal line underneath the Youtube video, go to your CSS style sheet in the wordpress editor (style.css usually), then at the very bottom paste in this code:

    div.sharedaddy div.sd-block {border-top: none;}
    If you're talking about the shorter line over the "Related Posts" section, try out this code:

    div.jp-relatedposts .jp-relatedposts-headline em:before {border-top: none;}
    It should work

    Hi jay, it's not about the lines above or below at all, but rather the first line of related posts itself. They've suddenly just appeared this week for some reason and I don't know where from. They're obviously not from the plugin where the second line are coming from either.

    I've attached an image showing which I mean, thanks for your reply

    It might be. Disqus automatically tries to include third party "stories" as part of their system. I am speculating, and to be honest I haven't given a lot of thought to what is going on with your site.

    I'm not sure if it's Disqus. Usually the articles aren't 3rd party (mine says "ALSO ON [My Site Here]"), and they are located underneath the comments, not above it. Are there any additional plugins you might be running? Or maybe the related articles plugin has multiple options and you accidentally checkmarked more than one?

    When you say 'third party stories' all of the related posts shown are other posts from my own site. If it is Disqus, do you have any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks

    Hi guys, just found the culprit! I re-checked the plugins I had and the settings of my Yet Another Related Posts Plugin as suggested. But then remembered I'd updated jetpack on WordPress last week and it has some extra random features included in it, and yes, related posts was one of them! Now deactivated and back to normal

    Thanks for you help Jay and Darren

    Hi Darren, sure do! However, jetpack isn't in the plugins section and that's why I hadn't come across it earlier. It just slipped my mind I guess But thanks again
