Problems backing up on FileZilla

Hi there,

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so feel free to move it somewhere appropriate.
My problem is the following: I use FileZilla to back up everything from my Wordpress blog (see signature for link), but it always takes me dozens of attempts to connect with the server. I fill in everything correctly (host, username, password, gate), and I always get the message that the connection witht he server cannot be made and then sometimes, after x attempts, it works (whithout doing anything different).
I've contacted GoDodday, my host, about this, but they just refer me to their support page.

this is the error I get : "530 Login authentication failed"

Any idea what the problem might be?

Aparently it works when I don't fill in the gate
