what i do - do not start posting links to your site immediately - do it gradually. But if you have the answer in your site then do so , only if it adds value. Off to post more answers. And btw Google...

i use wp copy protect plugin - same features as blog copy protect and display image from copyscape as a deterrent. And for rss scrapers i use yoast seo which inserts a link in footer of posts:)

reread a post after a month or so - better still leave an article for a week and then revisit - ideas spring to mind and you can start other new content

i would noindex privacy page, disclaimer etc and nofollow links to them as you dont want link juice to be sent to pages that will never appear in search engines
