My website's on number 10 on google!

hey folks i just discovered this.

My website, easyhtmltutorials.com, went up to the 10th position in google for the terms 'easy html tutorials'. Ain't that great! And the site's not even three months old!

Congrats! That's a great milestone and a great feeling when you discover a great google position... especially for a good keyword like that.

That's great man. Now next time shoot for "html tutorials". I'm sure you will get lots of traffic with that keyword.

well, webdev, i had my studies and Olevels and all, so i could not pay much attention to my website.

The technique???
I first created some html tutorials, which did not take long. then i made my website online. while it was online, i requested friends and family to go have a look at it and to recommend it to others. Some even found it useful!. At the same time, i added further tutorials like the stat counter one. I asked people what they wanted and so i wrote it up and added it. This way, i gained popularity.

Further, i submitted my site to digg and stumble upon and sites like that. That earned me more visitors. Also, i wrote an article on planning a website and submitted it to ezine articles. They published it and i got visitors from there too!

Further, i also maintain this website promotion related blog which supports my
website.

But the main thing i guess is that i chose a good name for my website, which is kinda relevant to the theme. I guessed people will probably search for 'easy to understand html tutorials' or simply 'easy html tutorials'. so you see, that helped too i guess.

You picked really good name for the site. I didn't think easyhtmltutorials.com would be available.

How are your adsense earning? Your site has a similar theme as mine. Earning from site hasn't been really low. I wanted to compare and see how your site is doing. I can get an idea if it is my niche that or my site causing low earnings.

well adsense earnings are really not that much. But since i only got number 10 position a few days ago, i think they will rise. Previously my website was an unknown one so visitors and earnings were at their low.

Hopefully now i'll get more visitors and increased adsense earnings.

Congratulations!
That is quite an accomplishment! Have you looked at monetizing your site with something besides Adsense? Maybe you could recommend a good ebook that pays a decent affiliate commission. Check ClickBank or other aff sites.

thanks for the suggestion but i have regional restrictions too. Some companies like ClickBank don't operate in my country, so i'm restricted to mainly Adsense. well adsense is enough for me i guess, for some time.

Are you able to sign-up for Amazon's affiliate program? Not sure if its available in your country but its worth checking out.

gavin, yes amazon's affiliate program is available in my country and i signed up for it long long ago. But I've not used it for quite a while. I'll start putting it to some use now, maybe sell books related to website creation.
