I have 50 of my pages on google now. I have found using keyword rich content seems to help. I wrote a article aimed at a specific keyword "forex scalping" and tried to make it clear to google this was my aim. It just appeared today and i received 2 hits.. its ranked #41. Its a start.

The page is http://www.forexpm.com/html/forex_scalping.html

I hope its ok to put my url here, there no ads or anything so it is not spam. What do u think of the SEO ?

From reading here.. it seems once I manage to get some good backlinks and my site ages, it might improve.

Just from a quick glance looks like you mention "scalpers" too many times. Your ranking may improve if you decrease the number of times you mention it. The engines may interpret your page as "keyword stuffing". Just my opinion.

I'm afraid ppcFanatic is right. You just need to use your key phrase maximum of three times in your content. Also use different versions of key phrases instead. Example, if you're using targeting "make money online", you can also rephrase it and use phrases like "making money online", "earn money online", "how to make money on internet", etc. This will give your page more diversity and people will find your page when they search for those keywords.

oh really.. I didn't realise that.. Thanks for the input

edit: I just removed the keyword a couple of times. It actually reads better with the keywords used more, but I dont want to get on the wrong side of google. They slowly seem to be sending more traffic, I received a record 10 uniques from them yesterday. I will see if it affects my ranking at all.. it sounds like it may improve anyway if I get some quality back links

I think you're on the right track. I believe that the suggestion above to use synonymous keyword strings is a great idea. It might even add the benefit of being listed on search engines for keyword combinations which you weren't even trying to get listed for.

google has moved my page up 3 places since I removed some of the keywords. The page doesn't read as well, but at least google isn't penalizing me.

You have to remember that it's a dynamic environment, so it may not just be what you did. For instance, it could be that competing sites changed their pages and for whatever reason they dropped down on the listings. I'm not saying that whatever you do doesn't have an effect, on the contrary, I'm just adding that other factors may play an important role as well.
