Default Another Way to Generate Traffic

Another way to generate traffic to your site is to follow Lisa's lead and get other smart, well informed people to put worthwhile stuff on your site that answers more questions people are asking. We don't have to know all the answers to find a way to make it available. That can bring more traffic to our sites and if they say, "I think I will check out the person that wrote this helpful bit of stuff!" that person may get additional traffic, too.

You may know all this but I wanted to tell you this. I was just searching for the best way to code a certain matter today and right there near the top of page one was the answer. Location: Website Babble. Author: Govindji Patel.

Thanks Govindji. Makes you proud to be part of this grand group. Makes me think I need to plan on getting some more info in my signature soon, too.

I try to help where ever I can as I have learned what I know today by asking others and from experience of making a mistakes and I am just passing on what I know.

I am no programmer and have never went to college to learn how to setup websites and If I can learn by networking so can any newbies as I think to be online business one needs to know at least basics of making changes to website as a webmaster will cost every time you ask him to make changes.

As this forum grows, I've noticed this happening more and more when I do Google searches. It's kinda cool to see your forum showing up in certain search results. James, your post reminds me of the spammers that come here to self promote and then leave. What they don't realize is that if they build up a reputation and provide useful help like Govindji_Patel, yourself and many others who post here often, that is a much more effective way of getting traffic than spamming because they're building up credibility.

When I was more active on other forums (before WB), I would get private messages from people all the time asking me for my affiliate links so I could get credit for certain sales or emails from people who went to my site after reading my info on the forum, etc. No matter what, it always comes back to providing quality content no matter the platform (blogs, websites, forums, etc.)

Good reminder and shows why it's important to write useful posts! You never know when your post will show up.

I have definitely noticed the Website Babble pages showing up in Google.

One way I did notice is through the Webmaster tools with my site. When I view the number of external links, I noticed large numbers beside the pages I have linked to in this forum.

By providing good content, Website Babble gets more pages listed. As Website Babble pages get listed, I see more links to my site because of the signature.
