I happy over the recent developments of two pages I created within the last 48 hrs which have already been indexed by ALL three major SE's. However I have a question. One of my pages which was highly ranked by Google (1st page) has dropped to 158!
I know this happens but can someone explain WHY it happens. I've noticed this with several of my TOP RANKED pages the past several months.
That happens with most new sites. As you continue to build content and your site ages, you should see your ranking stabilize. Same thing happened to me with every site I've created.

It has happened to me, and it's pretty much the way search engines work with new sites. I noticed that about 4-5 months ago I was getting more and more traffic from search engines. This was because the pages on my site started stabilizing within the results.

Someone else had a recent post and out lined their up and down trek through the search engine ranks. Can't remember who though. I wanted to post the link so you could see what was said about it. But my old brain doesn't work like it use to. Can someone post it? I would like to read it again since it happens so often.
