Default This Website is stealing My google rankings!!

Recently i have discovered that my search engine traffic has gone down alot, so i thought id search some of my key words in google, and i find that this site has stolen parts of my content and then linked to my site, kinda like a google add, and they have stolen all my search engine rankings!! eg,
when i use to search "shoulders and traps super set" it was in the top 4 of google, now my site is gone and this comes up instead, its still my content but someone elses website!!
OK so they have stolen a paragraph of my content to make a link to my website, and have stolen my search engine rankings!!!!
when u click that google result this comes up

I used to be ranked No 2 in google for key words "shoulders and traps superset" but then these guys stole my rankings!!
And now i have found out that this site has done this with all my workout articles!! this removing all my search engine rankings!!

This happens to me periodically for certain keywords but it usually goes away after Google does their "clean up" process. Seems like to me they are just scraping bits and pieces of multiple sites. Eventually Google's algorithm will catch up with them and they'll be gone. I know it bites.

Does the site have AdSense? If so you can submit a DMCA claim with Google and they will contact them. I've done this before with someone who stole my content and it worked. The person removed all the content because Google threatened to remove their account. If they don't have AdSense then it may be tricky and you may just have to let search engine nature take its course.

This is a common dilema when a more prominent site would link to your site.

Have you check how many referred traffic that site gave you?

As you can see many of us have had his happen in the past. I hate it when someone copies my posts, word for word, and attempt to pass them off as theirs.

The best you can do is what Lisa mentioned: contact Google adsense if they are using it. Usually these people create these web sites to display ads and try to get money from them. By having Google threaten to remove their account, you are essentially beating them at their own game.

Unfortunately, there really is no way to stop people from stealing your content, but at least there are ways of taking action.
