Well, in the last 14hours, I believe that I have been able to get it up and running. Google says that it was able to index it.
WOW! I had no idea how much was involved with doing an .xml Sitemap
Thanks

I hate to tell you this now, but a few days ago, someone suggested a great website for sitemaps:
http://www.xml-sitemaps.com
I haven't tried it, but it looks pretty easy to work with.
I am sorry this post is 14 hours late, but at least you have a working xml sitemap now, right?

That is a good site. I use wordpress for a cpl of my sites. There is a sitemap plugin you can use so it updates the sitemap file every time you make a new page/post.

Joomla?
If any of you out there are using joomla as your content management system and are looking for a way to get your site map on Google, I highly suggest "joomseo" it is a kick butt little add on that not only gives you a great sitemap to add on to the site, but also has many options of what data is indexed. When it is finished it gives you a Google friendly url ready for submission, Enjoy.
Any questions about how to get or install, just let me know.

I would be interested in learning how to install joomla. I've tried in the past but no luck.

Kevin,
I did not want to post a response here, because I didn't want to start the discussion here about Joomla... so I responded in the thread you started a few days ago. I hope it helps a little, but let me know if it doesn't... http://www.websitebabble.com/web-des...html#post10416

I got a question. Where's the "public_html/" tag located on a website/blog template? Thanks...

webman,
the public_html should be a directory on your server, where you place all your files you want to be published on your website. Anything there could be arrived to through your domain.
for example, if under public_html, you have a file called abc, then anyone could reach that if they typed yourdomain.com/abc
If in your public_html, you have a folder called folder1, and in that folder you have file1.html, then one could arrive to it by going to yourdomain.com/folder1/file1.html
I hope this made sense. This is just my take on it... I hope I explained it accurately.
