HOW DO I GET LISTED IN SEARCH ENGINES?
Guys,
Help on this would be huge.
I make the sites but do not know how to get noticed... traffic and attention?
Please tell me how to get my websites noticed.
Also, what is the best way to go about buying words on Google?
What is it all about?
I need people to find my sites.
Thanks again!

Hey Mr. Trump Jr.
In a nutshell, take a peek at www.selfpromotion.com. It tells you a lot about what you need to know for do-it-yourself search engine optimization. Just know that this takes time and you won't see traffic overnight.
Google AdWords is a great program but could cost you a ton of money if you don't experiment and learn the ropes before bidding on phrases. If you are going to get into PPC, I'd recommend getting a book on it first and study up before just spending your money on keywords.
I threw a lot of money away back in the day trying to experiment with PPC and I wish I had taken the time to read up on it first.

I wouldn't use PPC yet, you will probably lose money if you don't know what u are doing. Organic traffic good to start with. To get on google, build some good content and get a few backlinks, you'll soon appear. It can take a while to get decent traffic though, depending on your niche. My site is five months old and yesterday I broke my google traffic record at 36 google hits for my forex site. Not great, but it's a start. I just try to build good content, hopefully as my backlinks and content increase, the traffic will too.. It's a loooooong process. The best traffic I get is actually from forum signitures in my niche, it's highly targetted and they click adsense a lot. I know google put a lot of weight on the age of a site, especially for competitive niches.

The way i first got myself listed on Yahoo & Google.
Is to use Yahoo Answers, put some info about your site and a link. This was one of my biggest sources of traffic when i started my site. Within the first week my site was on the 2nd page of google search results and the 4th listed site by Yahoo.
Also i would suggest signing up for trafficswarm and putting a link box on your site, it helps with traffic. Just visit trafficswarm in my sig and check out the FAQ on linkbox.
Depending on what your sites focus is you can try looking for forums and directing people towards your site.
These are the first 3 things i did for my site, and now i get between 400-600 page views per day. These ideas are both quick, free and simple. Its a great way to get some traffic coming in.

sammy spam
Thanks!
So you just ask random questions and when people view your info you hope for a click or two?
Anything specific you would do ?

I've used Yahoo Answers too and this is how I work it. I search for questions that are related to my site's topics and try to provide as useful answers as possible. (The more useful, the more interest and credibility you gain) So what happens is people will view your profile which of course contains your website address.
I know a lady who sold a Site Build It! subscription using Yahoo Answers. Some people have drawn in some serious traffic using this technique. I haven't seen crazy numbers from this but I have gotten some decent traffic.

what Lisa said. dont spam your site or else people will start to get a negative opinion about you and your site. dont try to sell your site like advertising.
Just a small and simple explanation.
Yahoo Answers is a good way to get listed easily and get a nice flow of traffic, the numbers will vary depending on your topic, but its a great starting point and the people you recurit from Yahoo Answers are likely to pass your site on if they like it.

Agreed!
I'll second, third and fourth that too! Yahoo Answers does work. There's different categories out there, check out the one that applies to your blog/site and answer questions and post the url to your blog/site and watch what happens.
There's a lot of folks out there with questions about different things and if you notice, the answers are very general - depending on the topic. Bring attention to your blog/site and make yourself stand out! Make them come to your site/blog for their answers.
