I have noticed that with my news sites, google completely ignores my pages on keywords with a high CPC and ranks the low profitablity pages. As my fx site ages, google has slowly started to list better cpc pages. It's five months old now and google traffic has been slowly increasing. I am hoping the pages not listed will appear as my site ages further and my backlinks increase!

Have any of you guys experienced this with new sites?

Absolutely. The keywords with lower profitability don't get as many searches, have fewer pages that address those phrases, so it's easier to rank high.

But as your site gets older, and you continue to build content, gain backlinks Google can become your best friend. Looks like you're experiencing the same trend I did years ago with my 2create site. Just keep doing what you do and you'll see the traffic increase over time. Your rankings will also become more stable and you won't see that up and down stuff.
