I just started promoting my site and I have reached the top ten in google, msn, yahoo, alta vista, but Im stil like 25 on askjeeves any info would be great

congrats on your traffic. That's a great accomplishment. From what I've seen askjeeves doesn't really bring that much traffic anyway so I wouldn't worry about it. Plus once you start getting good rankings in the big ones (which you've already done) then you'll eventually show up in Ask too. It just may take some time for the meta engines to pick you up.

Yeah I agree, I've always read that once you get in the big 3, everything else will follow. I think I read that the big 3 get something like 95% of all search traffic and the other meta engines share the remaining 5%. That let's you know how insignificant the rest of them are.

I can't ever recall getting much traffic from ask. As others have said, they are a very small player in terms of the search engines and don't have much of the SE market share. You're in Google and that's something to celebrate!

I found for my sites that if I have how to keywords in some off articles or headings then I get a lot of traffic from ask.

Remember ask.com is all about asking questions.

So if you ask -"How to make a website" it will probably be considered in ask.
