Whats Linkwheel?
I am wondering on new terms what I am hearing about "Linkwheel" Link building, I searched web on it and saw one picture explaining how Link is developed for the main website.
In the process they were showing to create Squidoo lenses with unique content and inter-linking them with different Web2.0 Blogs and social sites and then connect that Squidoo lenses to the main website.. Well I understood this much apart.
I just want to know through the discussion that is it a legitimate ways to build links? Yesterday on webmasterworld.com I read that this kind of link building is not legit and can be caught by Search Engine Bots and can leads to getting Banned.
So i wana know how far it’s true? How far it should be done?
I would appreciate your comments
Thanks

Link wheel is totally legitimate technique for building backilnks. I do not find anything spammy here.
Link wheel does help in SERP rankings.

Its just like interlinking your websites then each websites was pointing to a main website. The only difference here is that each participating websites was hosted in different server.

It's linking to other sites, forming a wheel pattern, the last site links back to you.

Linkwheel
Basically, a Linkwheel is a set of six or more web 2.0 properties interlinked in a “wheel” module, the chains of wheel promotes a page on the web which is the focus of that particular “wheel” or what we call the ‘focus hub or ‘main hub.’
The main hub could be anything including your landing page, a squeeze page or even another type of web 2.0 property.

The Link Wheel is by no means a black hat concept as there is no deception involved with the search engines or natural visitors. The Link Wheel is basically more like what is known as "Synergy".
You are basically leveraging the authority of web 2.0 sites and linking them in a way that creates a larger effect than they would perform individually. This is not "gaming" the SE's.

Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place.
From wiki.

Well, I guess it will be a tough work to go with!
The network is so complicated! Is that really feasible?
