Default Search Engine Spiders >> Yahoo Slurp??

So I just launched my site a few days ago. I have my own stat pages running, and I've been monitoring them here and there. I am noticing a Yahoo Slurp spider going through my site.

So far it has been in my site for a little over an hour, and has gone through almost 900 different pages right now.

Is there a limit? Is this good? It seems good. How long does it take for my site to show in yahoo searches? As of now I'm not.

Sorry for the run of questions, I'm just real curious about the Slurp going through so much of my site, will it try to go to every page? Wow.... 35,000 pages to go....

Still going... headed towards an hour and a half, and it's passed the 1,000 page mark. Anyone have a clue if this is good... (how good?)

Sorry for repost, stats just excite me.

Hi dstang21,

I don't know much about Slurp and how often it visits, etc. but it could take a few weeks or even months before you start seeing any worthwhile traffic from the search engines. Of course a lot of that depends on how many quality/relevant links you have pointing to your site. But congrats on your site launch. Seems like you're making progress.
