Default How Do I Get Traffic To My Website?

Hi,

Internet Marketing requires you to sale other people’s products or services, or if you have decided to create your own product, sale your own. But whether you are selling your own or others, we all have one thing in common – getting traffic to our websites. But what is most important is not just getting traffic, but targeted traffic. Thus, How Do you or I get traffic to our sites?

I hope positive reply and giving thanks in advance.

Have a nice day.

The best way to get site traffic is to have good, index able content that the major search engines can pick up on. A lot of people recommend have a couple dozen articles "useful" posted on your site that are keyword rich and after being indexed, the major search engines will start throwing some traffic your direction.

Wink Attracting targeted traffic

You really have to build and market your site around the products you intend to sell. A large part of this is effective 'On Page' SEO.

In other words your pages and indeed your website need to be optimized with the keywords people will be plugging into google to find the products that they are looking to buy.

If you target highly specific 'long tail' keywords then you will inevitably receive highly targeted traffic.

Don't fall into the trap of simply seeking the highest volume of traffic possible because more than likely the traffic that you get will not be targeted.

A trick is to target a single 'long tail' keyword until you rank well for it, then look for another highly specific keyword and work to rank well for that one.

After a time you will find your site ranking for more and more highly specific keywords. Although each keyword probably won't attract bone crunching rushes of traffic, you will no doubt find the traffic you do get will result in a lot more purchases.

The key I think is to identify and target a number of 'long tail' or specific keywords and rank well for them rather than to target a very 'general' keyword phrase in hope of getting it lucky with a large volume of traffic.

Cool I use this...

I use a FREE viral traffic tool called Traffic Python. It provides a way that you can create special "python links" that are cloaked and targeted to specific categories. Has lots of other tools too. It has really helped my website traffic.

Hope that helps
Ken

To get targeted traffic, you need to do some keyword research. Choose keywords that would target specific market. Linkbuilding comes after that. Do tons of social bookmarking, forum posting, etc. to popularize your site.
