my highest google page so far

am moving up ( not much) but a bit

for my main key words "children's party planner" and childrens party planner" (misspelled)

started with being placed around the 60th page (went up and down) but stayed in the sixties

two or three weeks ago I got to the 33rd page for both searches

now am page 16 for the correct spelling and page 17 for misspelled (search returned over 1 million results)

I know its not the first few pages or anything but am happy to see it going up although for all I know I could disappear next week

that's good alana, keep adding relevant content sprinkling your keywords here and there, you have to fight for your place in the top rankings,
but I think you're a good fighter

I just did a search on MSN live search for childrens party planner and children's party planner there were 18,000,000 results for childrens party planner and over 6 million for children's party planner

my site is #1 on both, how is that? can it be right?

just checked yahoo for same search and am on the first page aswell!

well I was just talking to James & Techieguy yesterday about the same issue, as my blog shows on the first page on google for a couple of keywords,
and they told me that that is normal when you start a web site you get ranked at first then you start losing the rank with time, then you start appearing again on a slower bases,
Lisa also told me that google tries to feel out new sites giving them high ranks in the beginning to see how they react and how people react with them,

At least you are going in the right direction. Keep up the link building and content generation and you should hopefully continue to improve your SE rankings. Its a long and sometimes boring process but onces you get there the results should make it all worth while.

Keep up the great work! It's always a good sign when you start to see your site showing up in the SEs. As mirage said, sometimes they will feel you out in the beginning (especially Google) so don't be alarmed if you see your rankings bounce around.
