So I'm going to bump this because my thread got pushed half-way down the page I don't want my question to get lost :X

So I'm currently writing for an article publishing website that shares revenue from Google Adsense. Recently, the webmaster of the website decided to do a URL reformatting, so now I went from 6000 views every day on 21 articles to only 10 or 20 views a day. My articles are still listed in Google, but the links in the search engine are the OLD BROKEN links so I'm not getting credited for views.
How long will it take for the new URL of my article to be ranked in Google again? Does Google think of the new URL as new content? My highest trafficked article contains time-crucial information, so I'm afraid that I won't be able to rank as well because now the topic is saturated.
The website uses a Wordpress template.
Thanks

I think google takes the new URL as new post, this happens sometimes..You have to wait till your posts get a PR.If you have regular visitors may be they will see your posts regularly which in turn increase your PR.
There is a plugin called redirection that fixes everything. If any page on your site moves to a new location it will automatically create a redirection for you. Unfortunately you need it before you have the issue. You could revert the links back and then install the plugin and then change them and it should work flawlessly.
You can also create manual redirection with the plugin if that is not an option. Since you only have 21 articles that would not be too bad to do.
