Seo has a lot to it. There is on page and off page optimization. On page is your title and heading with keywords usage and placement, meta tags, keyword density and usage. Off page is promotion of website such as back links to your website.

Here are some of the things you need to remember with regards to SEO:
1. On-Page Optimization - it deals with the proper use of title tags, meta tags, description, keywords, heading tags and alt attributes.
2. Off-Page Optimization - it deals with building links. Forum posting, social bookmarking and networking, classified ads, press release and blog commenting are just some of the strategies that falls under Off-Page.
