There are updates in Page rank.
Some websites page rank is reduce some websites page rank is increase even blogs page ranks has increase.
No. of backlinks also increase in some cases, and in some cases it has reduce.

It has no impact on SERPS as such, so why worry about it these days?

I prefer alexa ranking over PR. More traffic would drive more potential clients to the website which means more business.
