Can someone tell me the step by step on how to do social bookmarking?

i want to learn how to do it.. Please kindly tell me how.

The primary use for bookmarking services is to find or share articles with others that have similar interests. Some of them also charge for advertising.

However, all bookmarking sites are not created equal. They each have their own terms of service and they were created for different reasons.

For example I see many blogs that will tell you that you can use StumbleUpon to gain traffic for your site by adding your posts. But I am learning that if you submit too many of your own articles you can be banned. Sometimes groups of friends get together and submit or give a thumbs up to each others articles, well turns out that this can get you banned from SU also.

Can you be more specific and say which bookmarking site you are primarily interested in and what your goal is? I think each one needs to be evaluated on its own merit.

Social bookmarking is easy. It's like a compiling of all your favorite web pages and sharing it to your friends with the same interest. That's why social bookmarking can help in improving site's traffic.

it is very easy to do social bookmarking.
all u have to do is to post ur title, description and keywords to social bookmarking sites.

Simple.. Search for all social bookmarking sites.. Register to as many of these sites as you can.. Then, in every site, look for the button where you can submit.. I'm sure it would easily be located.. After which, just provide what are being asked for.. Almost all sites would ask for the title first, the link, then would ask for a description, and keywords.. Some would likewise ask for meta tags.. Finished!

I can also recomment you onlywire.com, there you can submit your page with one step to several bookmarking sites.

If your goal is traffic, social bookmarking is a good formula for success. Join Onlywire or similar sites and you can bookmark to several directories with one click.

it is a good way to have huge traffics but most of social bookmarking are no follow sites which don't have benefit to google, so better search for some do follow social bookmarking sites.

The funny thing about social bookmarking is that no process is basically the same with other sites. Most of them have similarities though, but bookmarking pages have different processes.

But what I do really is bookmark what I want to bookmark first in Delicious.com, export the bookmark file, and then just upload them. A lot of bookmarking sites actually allow uploads or importing of bookmarks.

social bookmarking is submitting a link of your site and placing a title and description. if your title is catchy and interesting, people will click your site!

Additionally, you'd better find websites that offer do-follow links, which are more helpful for your ranking.
