Arrow pay-per-click on just phrase links, how-to

quick question you guys... here's what i want to do: i want to be able to write content and add hyperlinks to some of the words/phrases i use within my content... like a blog, for example. but, if my link is going to a popular website, instead of just taking them to that website, is there anyway i can get commission by doing that? i'm not a fan of having a bunch of affiliate image links all over my website... it would look bad, and i really want to talk about topics i like. i just want to be able to add hyperlinks to phrases or words and get paid for it... is that possible?

thanks!!

well.. you can try content link, content-link.com. Alternatively there's a better way then PPC. It may affects the way you earn with your website in the very near future. It's called Pay-Per-Play (PPP). You can [self promotional link removed]

Cheers

Hi Digital321. I'm sure you can just use a text link which has your unique affiliate code attached. Whatever affiliate you are using should have both graphic and textual promotional tools. If not, I would send an email to the Affiliate Manager of that product and ask them if you could do just a text link. The consensus on text links by the way is that they convert better than a graphic image/banner. However, this all depends on how much traffic (readers) you are pulling in and how you "sell" the product to your readers. If you are just throwing product text in without a context to sell then you may not convert that well...but at least you are on the right track... Best of luck.

Digital,

Right now, 98% of all my affiliate promotions are text links. The thing, though, is that they are not pay per click, it's pay per action or per sale. In other words, you get paid when someone clicks on your link and they buy something, subscribe to something, or fill-in a lead form.

What is the affiliate network you're working with? i.e. Where do you get your affiliate offers and banners?

I work with Commission Junction, Linkshare and Shareasale. I used to use a service called FastClick which was pay per impression but I stopped using them because I didn't like the banner look. To be honest I do not know of any pay per click that uses text links. Have you tried doing a Google search for the answer? Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Best of luck.
