Default What's the difference between PPC and affiliate marketing?

PPC is just what it says, you get paid for each qualified click of a banner or ad you place on your website, whereas Affiliate marketing generally pays you a commision based on sales resulting from a click from your website.

PPC is Pay per click. Google adwords is pay per click. You pay money for every click that you receive in the sponsored listings in search engines. Affiliate marketing is when you sell products that are owned by other companies, and you make a commission off their items.

Actually, PPC can be considered in two ways.
1. You have to pay per each click on your own ads. Google Adwords is one example.
2. You get paid on each click happens on your site. Google Adsense is an example.

Usually, PPC refers to the first meaning above. Moreover, many people use PPC to drive traffic to their affiliate sites, and they'll get a commission when some products are sold.

Lets see if I can add some clarification to this.

Pay per click (PPC) - You pay someone each time your designated Ad gets clicked. Or someone pays you each time there Ad gets clicked.

Affiliate marketing - You don't get paid per Ad click you get paid per person you refer to there site that purchases an product.

When it comes to getting paid by Affiliate marketing you won't get paid by the click you'll get paid by each person you refer that purchases there product and THEN you'll earn a commission off of it.

Hope this make sense,

-Rob

If I may add some affiliate offers do not require a purchase, only an email or zip code.

I believe that using PPC for affiliate marketing is worth it only if the affiliate payout is $20 or more; clicks are getting very expensive for all keywords.

If your site appears in the regular search results no. If you place your site under "Sponsred ads" then yes

Can we say that PPC is part of or one way of affiliate marketing??

Correct me if I am wrong! I will appreciate that!
