G'day everyone,
I live in Western Australia and am attempting to learn how to design websites for community projects, charities and not-for-profit groups in my local area (at no charge).
If by some wonderful chance someone sees my work and would like to pay me for it, then I won't say no.
As I am a retired (too old for working at 65) finance officer I have plenty of time to devote to learning and having a lot of fun doing it.
My secondary hobby is transcribing headstones (I'm a taphophile).
Where I live is 200km SE of the Perth (capital city of WA), in a farming community. Nearest major shopping centre is an hour and a half away by car (Aaaaggghhh! - no shoe-shopping.) Coldest minimum temperature in winter is minus 2 degrees. Hottest maximum temperature in summer is 44 degrees.
Cheers,
Lorraine
Welcome to the forums. I have always wanted to visit Australia, but it's a long trip from here in Canada.
Up here you can get -20 in the winter (even colder with the wind-chill) and over 30 in the summer, and sometimes closer to 40 with the humidity. We pretty much have all four seasons here, which we like to compress into two: winter and construction.

AsideMichelle, it is a very good feeling. We don't have much in the way of money (my beloved is a Vietnam Vet and the Pension isn't huge and I receive a senior's pension) but we both have time which we can contribute to our community (small population 4,500).
It's all about paying it forward - I was given assistance when I needed it, and now it's time to make my payment.
