I'm Steve.
First I'd like to thank Lisa for taking the time & doing the work to put all this together. I've looked around at some online business ideas before but have always been very overwhelmed by all the data out there. It's hard to tell the scammers from the honest. I like the site, from what I've seen so far, but man that's a lot of info. Perhaps I get overwhelmed too easily. I see a screen of text and I want to pull the wheat from the chaff and only read that. Doesn't work. I'm pretty convinced at this time that the only way to get rich quick is to sell get rich quick scams. Fortunately my morals interfere with that. I'm not sure what I'd like to do but I know I'm tired of the rat race and the sooner I start the sooner I reach my goals. I think the main issue standing in my way is an inability to concentrate. I've been writing this for about 20-25 minutes. My mind wanders all the time. another 5 mins gone. Time for bed.

There is a TON of information out here and it's very easy to separate what's legit and what's a scam. I always tell people to never sign up with any of those programs that promise instant riches. Usually if it seems too good to be true, it is.

The best way to make money is to find your passion, build a useful site on it and make money by referring people to related products.

A guy that I used to work with is creating a site on TV's. He loves electronics and knows everything about plasma, HD, etc. so he's building a resource site for people who want to buy a big screen but don't know what to look for. The technology is changing all the time and I think it's a great idea for people who want a great picture but don't know what all the anagrams in the store mean (HDMI, etc.) He is joining Best Buy's affiliate program and he'll get a commission when he recommends a product and the person buys online.

This is a great example of how to make money by turning your interest into an online business. You don't have to sell anything, you just have to understand how to put up a useful site targeted to a specific audience.
